Going to the beach is a lot of fun, but it can also be a pain to set up your beach tent. You’ve probably seen all sorts of different beach tents online or in stores, but which one should you buy? They all seem so similar and they’re all so expensive. Don’t worry! Neso Beach Tent is the perfect solution to your every problem.
Neso Tents are a market favorite for a good reason. These sun shelters are made with durable, lightweight materials that can stand up to even the strongest beach breezes. But how does the Neso Tent stack up against its competitors? I have put one to the test to find out.
First and foremost, the material of this canopy is very soft and stretchy. I was amazed by its stretchiness and durability when I first removed it from the bag. It’s made of a Lycra/Nylon blend, which makes it both comfortable and durable.
You probably have seen the canopy material made of denier polyester with a lining of water-resistant and lightweight nylon. That is perfectly acceptable, but this Lycra/Nylon blend offers exceptional benefits.
The Neso believes that its tent is very strong due to the fact that it is certified with a UPF rating, which means that your skin will be protected from harsh ultraviolet rays.
The Neso tent fabric has a UPF score of 50+, which is the maximum possible rating. This is due to the fact that the fabric is tightly woven and has a UPF treatment.
The UPF score ranges from 15-50+, so you can expect this canopy to provide just as much protection against the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays.
Additionally, the tent fabric made of Lycra/Nylon blend is also water resistant and repellent. When I tested this tent fabric under the shower head, the water beaded up and rolled right off. I was really impressed! So, you can be sure that this canopy will protect you from the rain, even on those bad weather days.
Just after I finished testing the water resistance, I touched the canopy and it felt dry. That’s because the fabric is quick-drying, so it won’t become soaked and heavy like other tents.
The Neso company doesn’t advertise their tents to be waterproof, but I’m happy to report that this one does a pretty good job of keeping the water out.
The stitching of this canopy is much better than the competitor’s model. I was a little concerned about the durability of the stitching, but after examining it closely, I can say that it’s very strong and well-done. The edges of the tent are also finished nicely and they don’t appear to fray easily.
Stitching is the most important factor when it comes to the durability of a canopy. If the stitching is weak, then the whole canopy will eventually fall apart. The technology used in this stitching is much better than other tents, so you can be sure that it will last for a long time.
The reinforced corners are another great feature of this canopy. Canopies have a lot of wear and tear on the corners, so it’s important that they’re made with extra care. This new stitching technique used in the Neso Tent makes the corners much stronger and less likely to tear.
The heavy-duty metal grommets are inserted in each corner of the canopy, which provides additional reinforcement. It is pre-connect through the nylon rope from your anchor bag and hitch knot, so you don’t need to do any additional assembly. This will save you time and energy when it comes to setting up the tent.
I noticed that anchor bags are of the same material as the canopy, which is a good thing because it means that they’re made of high-quality materials. The material used is a mix of nylon and lycra, which is both strong and lightweight.
The anchor bags comes flat, so you’ll need to fill them up with sand or soil before use. I think this is a great idea because when you will raise the aluminum pole, the tension will pull the anchor bag downward, which provides extra stability to the tent. So you don’t have to be concerned about the wind anymore!
I found that these aluminum poles are very sturdy and well-made. The good thing is that they’re extremely light, so you may transport them with you anywhere.
When I first pull out the pole from the carrying case, I was a little concerned that it might bend or break easily because it is lightweight. But after testing it, I can say that it’s very strong and durable. It weighs 2.5 less than steel, which makes it the perfect material for a canopy.
Each pole is broken down into manageable sections, making it simple to transport and store. The pieces are connected together by a high-quality shock cord, so you don’t need to worry about losing any of the pieces.
The elasticity of the shock cord does a great job of holding the poles together, so you don’t need to use any tools to assemble them. Just stretch them out and they’ll automatically fit into place. I liked the foam ball part on top of the poles, it makes the canopy more stable and protects your roof from tearing and slipping.
Lastly, I want to mention that the Neso Tents poles are not telescoping. This is a positive thing because most of the tent poles are telescoping causing them to get stuck and break over time.
The thumb release locking buttons are also suspected to cause problems, so I’m glad that Neso Tents didn’t include them in their design.
Take every material out of your carrying bag so that you have easy access to everything. Start by laying down the tarp on the ground and stretch each anchor bag as far into an X shape as they can go.
Then you need to fill all the anchor bags with enough sand so that they can cinch shut. After that, pull on the nylon rope to close the bags.
After filling and closing the anchor bags, pull all the anchor bags outwards until the tarp is tight. It will make sure that the canopy is under enough tension when you raise the aluminum poles.
Then, connect the poles together and raise them up. It is important to keep in mind that the canopy poles should be an equal distance from the corners.
Keeping an equal distance will ensure that the tent is stable when you walk around inside and also make sure that no water can seep in through any cracks or gaps.
The pole positioning is the most vital part of the entire setup so make sure that you do it right. The wind will flow under the tent and not over it if you get it right!
For example: If the wind is coming from the east, then make sure that the poles are on the east corners of the tent. So that the wind will flow from the east, under the tent, and out the west side.
So, what’s the verdict? Is the Neso Beach Tent worth buying? Overall, I’d say yes! Even though there are some cons, they definitely don’t outweigh the pros. This tent is easy to use, provides great sun protection, and is very affordable. It’s so light and compact that you’ll hardly even realize you’re carrying it with you.
Additionally, when I compare it to other similar tents on the market, the Neso Beach Tent definitely comes out on top. Its lack of thumb-release locking buttons and telescoping poles makes it a more durable option that will last you for many years to come.
So, if you’re in the market for a new beach tent, I highly recommend giving the Neso Beach Tent a try. You won’t be disappointed!
