Ahhh Gold Beach – the wild west coast of Oregon. With its rugged shorelines, mysterious forests, and picturesque homes perched on mountainsides, it’s no surprise that camping in this region is one of the most rewarding experiences in all of North America.
If you’re planning a camping trip to Gold Beach then you’ll be looking for the best possible places to pitch your tent — and with so many great locations out there, I know how difficult it can be to choose just one! I’ve done my own research and discovered some of the best tent camping spots in Gold Beach, so read on to find your perfect destination.
This 100 acres Cedar Bloom is situated on a mile of the Illinois River, creating a picturesque backdrop for your camping experience. With its beautiful protected forest and plentiful wildlife sightings, you won’t be disappointed. The campsite has several activities, including biking, fishing, hiking, paddling, swimming, and wildlife watching.
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway or an action-packed adventure, Cedar Bloom has something for everyone! Additionally, the campsite has a beach with a swimming hole, perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. The forest and fields provide plenty of opportunities for exploring.
Women’s retreats, such as the Spirit Weavers Gathering, also take place at Cedar Bloom so there’s plenty of opportunity for spiritual connection and growth. The 66 sites here offer both RV and tent camping, so you’re sure to find a spot that fits your needs.
The Foster Bar Campground is situated on the Rogue River, making it an ideal spot for fishing and rafting. There are eight campsites here (four tent-only sites and four that allow both tents and trailers). You’ll have access to picnic tables and fire pits, so you can roast marshmallows and tell stories around the campfire.
There are some great trails in the area for hikers, but if you’re looking for a more relaxed vacation then there’s plenty of riverside lounging to be done. There are many facilities here, including drinking water, flushing toilets, garbage disposal, and a campground host available for assistance.
You will find many activities to do at the Foster Bar Campground, including fishing, boating, picnicking, and nature viewing. Whether you’re an avid outdoors person or a casual admirer of nature – this is the perfect place to be. So don’t wait any longer and come visit the Foster Bar Campground; you won’t regret it!
The Oak Flat Campground has 15 campsites where you can take advantage of the beautiful views, wildlife watching, and great fishing opportunities. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring for you to use, so you can cook up some delicious meals or just relax by your campfire.
There are also lots of trails for horseback riding, so you can spend the day trotting through nature or take a leisurely ride to enjoy the scenery. If off-roading is your thing, then this is your spot! There are some great paths and hills perfect for OHV riding. So strap on those helmets and get ready for an adventure. Additionally, the nearby lake offers plenty of water activities like swimming and tubing.
You will never get bored of the nature view here, so come to Oak Flat Campground for the best outdoor experience! But I found some drawbacks too – there’s no campground host, and don’t forget to bring your own drinking water! So if you’re looking for a place to camp that offers the perfect balance of outdoor fun and relaxation, Oak Flat Campground is the place for you.
As the name suggest, Wildhorse Campground has plenty of wild horses nearby for you to admire. This campground is another great spot for tent camping, with 3 sites spread out across the grounds. You’ll have access to picnic tables and fire rings, so you can cook up some delicious meals and roast marshmallows around the campfire.
The trails here are perfect for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. If you are bringing your furry friend, make sure to keep them on a leash at all times. Unfortunately, fireworks are prohibited here so you won’t be able to light up the night sky with your display of vibrant colors and booms. But don’t worry, there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy – from nature viewing to camping and even picnicking.
The reservation is based on a first-come, first-served basis – so make sure to snag a spot before they’re all taken. You need to pack all the garbage out, since there are no garbage disposal facilities here. But if you’re looking for a spot to take in the beauty of nature without any distractions, then Wildhorse Campground is the place for you! So come and explore the wilds of Oregon – your adventure awaits!
When you visit Game Lake Campground, you can expect to find an abundance of nature and wildlife. This campground has 3 campsites with plenty of picnic tables and fire pits to keep you cozy. However, please note that there is no drinking water available here – so make sure to bring your own if you plan on staying for a while!
You’ll also find a vault toilet and no garbage disposal, so make sure to “pack it out” when you’re ready to leave. Campfires should only be built in the provided developed fire pits – so have fun, but be safe. No firework displays here though – they’re strictly prohibited.
Moreover, there are many other restriction such as off-road vehicles and ATV’s not being allowed, and most importantly, all dogs must be leashed while in the campground. So take your furry friend on a trip but make sure to keep him or her safe. The maximum length of stay is 14 days, so plan accordingly – you don’t want to miss out on all this spectacular nature!
